Description from the seller

Val Saint Lambert vase

Val Saint Lambert “Danse de Flore” Cobalt Crystal Vase (26 cms height). This is a stunning example of Belgian crystal artistry by Val Saint Lambert, one of the world’s most prestigious glassmakers, founded in 1826 on the site of a former abbey in Seraing, near Liège, Belgium.

The vase belongs to the celebrated “Danse de Flore” (also called “Jupiter”) pattern — a cobalt blue cut-to-clear crystal design decorated with gilded figures in neoclassical scenes. This side shows dancing cherubs and Bacchanalian figures; the other side displays elegant classical women in procession, rendered in rich 24K gold gilding against the deep royal blue ground.

Structurally, the piece features a flared clear crystal neck with fine ribbing, a bold cobalt blue body with twin gold banding, a cut-to-clear lower section with petal-carved panels, and a clear pedestal foot. The original “Val St. Lambert / Belgium / Déposé” silver foil label remains intact — a significant mark of authenticity and provenance.
