Relic of Saint Gabriel of the Addolorata presented in a round metal reliquary with an antique silvered finish and red textile background, with a handwritten label “S. Gabrielis”, devotional relic arranged in a floral setting.
Accompanied by its authentic original dated Rome, April 20, 1921, issued by the Congregation of the Passionists and signed by the Superior General, with a dry seal.
Good overall condition, slight signs of wear.
About the Saint:
Saint Gabriel of the Addolorata (1838–1862) was an Italian Passionist religious, famous for his intense devotion to the Virgin of Sorrows. Dying very young, he quickly became a major figure of popular piety and was canonized in 1920. He is today regarded as a model of purity and fervor for Catholic youth.
