Guess the mask - DR Congo (No reserve price)

This is a Teke Tsaye Kidumu mask from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, traditionally worn by men during ceremonial dances. These masks are circular and divided by a horizontal band, with abstract geometric patterns that symbolize duality in the universe. They are used by the secret male fraternity 'Kidumu' during funerals, weddings and other important ceremonial occasions. They are typically carved from light wood and painted with natural pigments such as red earth (padauk), kaolin (white) and charcoal (black).
The mask is in good condition.
