AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

HISTORY OF THE LABRADORITE STONE
Originating from the Labrador region of Canada, labradorite was discovered by Moravian missionaries in 1770 while they were there to work among certain Indigenous peoples, notably the Inuit. They were charged with evangelizing them. The Innus (Montagnais-Naskapis) and Inuit regarded labradorite as nothing less than a fiery stone born from the auroras in the north and south of the planet. According to them, it was frozen by the cold at its apex and then fell to the ground. Labradorite owes its name to the geologist Foster, who first called it that in 1780. He simply chose this name in reference to its place of discovery, the Canadian region of Labrador.
