Description from the seller
Beautiful incense burner of Ashtamangalas.
Ashtamangala (Eight Auspicious Symbols). The decorative band on the lid shows the Ashtamangala – the eight sacred symbols from Tibetan Buddhism that represent happiness, prosperity, and spiritual protection.
These include, among others, the endless knot, the lotus bloom, the parasol, and the dharma wheel.
Dragon symbolism:
The dragons that wind around the body of the burner are powerful protectors in Tibetan tradition.
They symbolize wisdom, strength, and mastery over the elements.
The double dragon is often associated with harmony and balance.
Lid elements:
Two deer/gazelles: Refer to the Buddha's first teaching in the Deer Park at Sarnath
Central finial: Often a jewel or dharma symbol representing enlightenment
Perforated decoration: Allows the incense to escape through the symbolic motifs
