This object is a pique-fleur, or flower frog, consisting of a cut crystal vase and a matching silver-plated grid. The metal grid, or frog, is designed to hold flower stems individually in place for an organized floral display. This pique fleur is made from hand-cut crystal, producing a beautiful geometric relief pattern. The style is Art Deco and dates from the period 1920–1935, made by the Val Saint Lambert glass factory in Seraing near Liège, Belgium.
