Large and elegant wall mirror in burnished and gold-plated brass, made in Italy around the mid-20th century.
The composition, of great decorative impact, features a refined suspended structure with twisted rods and rich openwork ornamentation, presenting a round mirror inserted into a profiled metal frame, enriched by a border of small pearls. The top and bottom are decorated with stylized vegetal motifs, volutes, acanthus leaves and palmettes, in a neoclassical taste with rocaille accents.
Particularly dramatic is the suspension structure: two twisted oblique rods converge to an upper palmette-shaped element, giving the whole a light yet highly decorative appearance.
The mirror is in good overall condition, with normal signs of aging consistent with its age and use.
