Leica Summitar f2/5cm lens (c.1949), tested and working, in very good condition, with front lens cap, made in Germany.
Description from the seller
Leica Summitar f2/5cm in very nice and perfect working condition.
Serial number: No: 702348
Year of manufacture: circa 1949
Made in Germany (Germany)
This lens has been tested and is in perfect working order.
The front and rear glass elements are crystal clear and undamaged. No scratches, no cleaning marks.
Furthermore, I see no haze and no fungus. I can only detect at most one tiny speck of dust inside.
Focusing operates very smoothly and without hiccups.
The aperture shifts smoothly and freely from f/2 to f/16
There is no oil on the diaphragm blades.
This Summitar model was produced in 1949. These lenses were equipped with an anti-reflective coating from 1945 and it was also the first lens to ever receive this coating treatment.
The lens is supplied with its original Leitz front lens cap.
The pictured Leica IIIG is NOT included in this auction/sale. It will be offered in another Catawiki auction.
Also take a look at my other Leica offers.
The lens with cap will be very carefully packed and shipped with a Track & Trace number and insurance.
NOTE:
I always ship my goods with Track & Trace number as well as insurance to protect against possible damage and theft. If you do not agree with this, please do not place any bids.
Thank you in advance.
