Wall plate - Porcelain

Beautiful hand-painted blue-and-white porcelain wall plate with rich floral decoration in underglaze cobalt blue. The plate shows clear characteristics of traditional handmade Asian export porcelain, including hand-painted brushwork, firing/spur marks, and natural glaze flaws.

The reverse side shows an unglazed foot rim and typical small kiln marks that suit older high-fired porcelain. Decoration applied on both the front and back.

Probably Chinese or Japanese export ware from the late 19th to early 20th century.
