Mask - Guro - Wood - Ivory Coast.

Superb male mask with elongated, divided eyes.
The forehead is domed, the eyebrows very long.
The fine ridge of the nose is characteristic of Guro masks, as is a small mouth with thin lips.
The coiffure is sophisticated, ending in a braided bun gathered upward.
The two concentric ears are tiny.
Beautiful brown patina.
A mask of great finesse, quite uncommon.
Private collection.

Superbe masque masculin aux yeux étirés et fendus.
Le front est bombé, les sourcils trés longs.
La fine arête du nez  est caractéristique des masques Guro, ainsi qu'une petite bouche aux lèvres fines.
La coiffure est sophistiquée, finissant en chignon tressé vers le haut.
Les deux oreilles concentriques sont minuscules.
Belle patine brune.
Masque d'une grande finesse peu commun.
