Nutcracker - Brass

This Showa-era Japanese brass nutcracker, handcrafted by a Japanese metalworker, bears the inscription "JAPAN" on the bottom and is a representative piece of postwar Japanese metalwork exports.

This nutcracker features a lever-operated design, making it easy and effortless to use. Made of pure brass, it shows slight signs of use, with clearly defined serrations and a smooth, flexible hinge. The nutcracker is well-preserved, without deformation, cracks, or severe wear.

As a practical kitchen utensil from the Showa era, it not only perfectly cracks nuts such as walnuts and hazelnuts but is also a beautifully crafted vintage metalwork worthy of collection.
