Signed on the plate lower right margin.
L'Estampe Moderne's blind stamp on the bottom right corner.
Dimensions:
+Size of the sheet: 40.5 x 30.8 cm / 15,9 x 12.1 in.
Condition: In very good condition, with soft handling creases at the edges. Tipped-on paper.
Issued from the famous set « L’ Estampe Moderne ».
Published by Masson & Piazza, Paris.
Not unlike the Maitre de L'Affiche series, L'Estampe Moderne was a portfolio printed between 1897-99, published by Imprimerie Champenois, Paris, contained 24 monthly portfolios, with four original lithographs in each. Each was commissioned only for this series.
As well as Mucha, some of the contributing artists included Rhead, Meunier, Ibels, Steinlen, Willette and Grasset.
