Liturgical cup on a cast and turned pewter footed pedestal - France, 18th century.
The body, slightly flared, is accented by an elegant twisted lip and adorned with a Gothic-style engraved monogram IHS. The baluster foot rests on a moulded circular base.
Presence of old hallmarks stamped on the body, difficult to identify with certainty but testifying to an ancient artisanal manufacture.
Very nice patina of use preserved.
Some traces of wear, scratches and small dents visible, consistent with age.
