AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Magnificent clock from the second half of the 19th century titled "the child with cymbals" by L & F Moreau, gold medal

Behind the initials L & F lies Auguste Moreau, also known as Louis Auguste Moreau (1855-1919) and his brother Hyppolite François Moreau, known as François Moreau (1858-1930), sons of the famous sculptor Hyppolite François Moreau.

This clock features a child (a cherub or an angel) playing cymbals (noting that this model is the rarest to find). It stands next to a richly decorated clock and on a pedestal with a lion’s head.

It is placed on a lovely marble which itself rests on four bobbin feet.

Movement by Adolphe Mougin (1835-1889). I am only missing the nut that holds the alarm bell.

The key is present.

In working condition.

Very beautiful decorative model.

Tiny traces of wear, extremely slight, which give a very beautiful patina

Shipped protected and carefully
