Antique NECCHI sewing machine – 1920s (Vittorio Necchi, Pavia)
Splendid old Necchi sewing machine, produced in Pavia in the early 1920s, attributed to the period of Vittorio Necchi.
Original item, fully functional, of great historical and collectible value.
The machine is presented in black finish with elegant gold decorations and chrome, characteristic of period production, which give it timeless charm and a strong stage presence.
Historical context
The Necchi company was founded in Pavia at the end of the 19th century by Ambrogio Necchi, a founder who ran a cast-iron factory specializing in components for machinery.
In 1919, upon returning from World War I, Vittorio Necchi found himself leading the family business. Although initially oriented toward classical studies and personal passions such as photography and breeding, it was a domestic demand – the purchase of a sewing machine for his wife – that inspired him to develop a machine for domestic use, leveraging the skills of the family foundry.
From this idea arose one of the most important Italian brands in the sewing machine sector.
Careful shipment in double packing: bubble wrap + multi-layer cardboard (or small pallet) Dimensions 60x40x60 cm Weight 20 kg
