Description from the seller
Spanish silver box with embossed blacksmiths scene – Spain, 1950s – gilded interior – 36 g
Elegant Spanish silver box with a lobed shape and unusual design, made in Spain around the 1950s, featuring elaborate relief decoration inspired by traditional motifs.
The lid presents a detailed figurative scene with blacksmiths working on an anvil, surrounded by historic architecture and ornamental elements. The composition recalls artisanal and popular scenes of Spanish tradition, executed with great attention to detail and depth in the reliefs.
The piece is framed by refined classical-style decoration, while the interior shows a graceful gilded finish, creating an attractive contrast with the exterior silver.
A particularly interesting piece due to its unusual shape, artisanal theme and decorative character, representative of Spanish silversmithing from the mid-20th century.
