Description from the seller

Designed by Jonas Trampedach for HAY, the Cornet Bar Stool combines a timeless silhouette with an innovative structural concept, resulting in a minimalist yet distinctly contemporary aesthetic. Inspired by the steel tube construction techniques used in bicycle racks, the stool features a slender tubular steel frame that creates a light and streamlined visual profile while expressing refined structural elegance through its simplicity.

Reinforcing side bars positioned at varying heights strengthen the base while simultaneously functioning as practical footrests, comfortably accommodating users of different heights. These asymmetrical linear details introduce a subtle sense of rhythm and modernity to the overall silhouette, balancing functionality with sculptural appeal.

The seat is crafted from solid European oak and gently contoured for enhanced comfort. The warmth and natural texture of the wood contrast beautifully with the precision and lightness of the steel base, creating a sophisticated interplay of materials and proportions. Available in two height options, the Cornet Bar Stool is ideally suited for bars, kitchen islands, high tables, and worktops across both residential and commercial environments. A range of oak finishes is offered for the seat, while the steel frame is available in chrome or powder-coated finishes, allowing for versatile coordination within a variety of interior styles.

Defined by a philosophy of “lightness with strength,” the Cornet Bar Stool embodies contemporary industrial elegance through its refined lines, durable construction, and understated character. Whether placed in a private kitchen, café, bar, or public hospitality setting, it brings a sophisticated and modern design presence to any space.
