At auction, an elegant pair of three-light wall sconces, each in full gilded bronze finely chiseled in Louis XVI style with evident references to neoclassical decorations.
The sinuous lines of the arms, the foliate motifs, the spiral volutes and the central floral details recall the great French and Italian decorative tradition of the 18th century.
The wall sconces have a rich and substantial workmanship with a strong visual impact, ideal for prestigious environments, boutiques, hotels, professional studios.
The hot-gilding of the bronze preserves a splendid original and authentic patina.
On the back there is a strong natural oxidation related to the years past and to the copper content in the bronze.
