Lot Description
A true “Grail” for antique radio collectors: the Panasonic RF-5000. Produced in the late 1960s by Matsushita, this multiband radio is a masterpiece of Japanese engineering, renowned for its uncompromising build quality and its imposing design.
Conditions and Details
The unit presents itself in excellent cosmetic condition. As visible in the photographs (which are an integral part of the description), the chassis preserves its original elegance with only light signs of wear from age. A general service is suggested given the value of the item, even though tested and functioning.
Antennae: Both telescoping antennas are original, straight and fully intact.
Backlighting: The dial illumination system is fully functional.
Audio: Warm, crystal-clear sound, typical of Panasonic’s finest production.
