Renault 5 GTL Saga, 1990, gasoline, manual transmission, located in Burgos, Spain, 60 HP and 93,950 km on the odometer.
Description from the seller
GENERAL:
The Renault 5 GTL 1.4 Saga was one of the latest evolutions of the mythical second-generation Renault 5, popularly known as the “Superfive.” At the beginning of the 90s it was already at the final stretch of its commercial life, but it remained very popular in Spain for its simplicity, moderate fuel consumption and affordable maintenance. The “Saga” is a special series that Renault used in Spain and in some European markets to give the car a more equipped and attractive touch in its last years. It included specific upholstery, better interior equipment, fog lights, tachometer, digital clock, some differentiated aesthetic details and better performance.
The GTL 1.4 is fitted with a four-cylinder gasoline engine of 1,397 cc and a power of 60 hp, a 5-speed manual gearbox that allows it to reach 155 km/h.
Equipped with very light steering, soft and comfortable suspension, great visibility, simple and mechanical controls, a very smooth clutch and gear change, with no electronic aids, it is a very reliable option with simple and cheap mechanics, reasonable consumption and a lot of charm as a popular classic.
CARROCERÍA Y PINTURA:
The vehicle presents a fairly good state of preservation. All the vehicle’s glass is factory-original.
MECÁNICA:
Under the hood is a four-cylinder gasoline carbureted engine. The philosophy of this unit is absolute reliability based on simplicity: since it does not have power steering, central locking, electric windows or air conditioning, all elements that typically generate costly breakdowns or electronic problems over the years are eliminated. It is a car with minimal maintenance guaranteed.
In the last 15 years it has barely been driven. After this time a complete inspection was carried out with replacement of all fluids and filters, as well as a tire change.
At the moment it does not have a valid ITV (vehicle inspection) but it can be arranged at the buyer’s request.
INTERIOR:
The completely original seat upholstery is in perfect condition, with no signs of wear or loss of firmness. The dashboard is spotless, preserving all its controls and switches with precise and correct operation.
DOCUMENTATION:
The car has Spanish documentation and its original 1990 license plate, having belonged to a single owner since its debut. This single-ownership history ensures that the car has not been in careless hands.
RECOGIDA:
The Renault 5 GTL Saga is located in Burgos. Any kind of visual inspection is welcome, and potential buyers are invited to perform a test drive if they wish, to certify for themselves the excellent ride and mechanical solidity of the whole.
OTRA INFORMACIÓN:
This unit is a singular opportunity for “youngtimers” collectors or people seeking an extremely reliable and economical vehicle.

Buyers are responsible for vehicle's registration, not the seller or Catawiki.
Request help with registration from a third-party service provider.Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
