Three-piece quatripode porte huilier vinaigrier in solid silver (argent 950) with blue cut-crystal bottles dating 1800–1850, Parisian origin, Minerve 1st titre marks, by silversmith Queillé; overall height 27 cm, width 22 cm, depth 12 cm, gross weight 1346 g (silver content 465 g; bottles 883 g).
Description from the seller
Sumptuous four-footed solid silver oil and vinegar cruet stand with its crystal flasks, 19th century.
Minerva head first-title hallmark on each piece.
The tiered, serpentine-edged plateau features friezes and scrolling vegetal motifs, resting on four foliate feet.
The central handle is openwork with counter-curved foliate forms, with the two stopper rests for the bottles.
Each mount presents two circular openwork bottle holders with a small shield bearing a discreet monogram.
The two cut-crystal bottles with blue overlay from the 19th century, engraved with stylized motifs, and their stoppers are in perfect condition.
Silversmith: Queillé family, hallmark PQ with an antique oar.
This hallmark was used from October 23, 1834 to November 27, 1846.
