Travel icon - Deesis Triptych - Bronze

19th-century Russian bronze triptych travel icon, finely cast and richly detailed with traditional Orthodox imagery. The central panel depicts Christ Pantocrator holding the Gospel, flanked by the Mother of God and St. John the Baptist in high-relief repoussé style, all framed by intricate Old Church Slavonic inscriptions and ornamental borders with traces of deep blue enamel. The reverse features a detailed Crucifixion scene, further enhancing the devotional character of the piece.

Executed in solid bronze with a naturally aged patina, this substantial example weighs approximately 791 grams and measures 35,5 x 14 cm fully opened (13 x 14 cm closed).
