Miniature box / silver filigree trinket box – Portugal (attributed) – 20th century
Elegant miniature silver box made in delicate filigree technique, decorated with refined pierced work and geometric and vegetal ornamentation of great visual richness. The piece presents the form of a small traditional chest with a hinged lid and decorative spherical feet, showing meticulous artisan workmanship characteristic of Iberian goldsmithing.
In terms of style, technique and construction, the piece can be attributed to Portugal, where the filigree tradition reached exceptional development. It retains visible marks, though partially illegible, including a silver contrast that is difficult to identify due to wear.
