A blue and white porcelain ginger pot dating to the Qing Dynasty (Kangxi period) with the Prunus blossom on cracked-ice motif, height 6 cm, in excellent condition and with original attribution.

This is a classic Chinese blue-and-white porcelain ginger jar, dating from the Kangxi period of the Qing dynasty.
The jar is decorated with the popular 'plum blossom on cracked ice' motif, with white plum blossoms contrasting against a vivid cobalt blue background with lines that resemble cracked ice.
This design symbolizes the coming of spring when the ice begins to melt, a metaphor for renewal and the end of winter.
The unglazed foot rim and the double blue circle mark on the base are characteristic of high-quality Kangxi porcelain.
In excellent condition, small chip on the lid, see last photo.
