Description from the seller
Delft Blue Lot – 2 decorative plates & bonbonnière / lidded box – Royal Goedewaagen – approx. 1960/1970
Atmospheric and decorative lot of three Delft Blue earthenware pieces from Gouda, produced around 1960/1970. This ensemble consists of two decorative plates and a fine bonbonnière / lidded box from Royal Goedewaagen.
All pieces are executed in traditional Dutch blue-and-white decoration with rich floral motifs in various shades of cobalt blue. The large decorative plate features a classic flower basket with a lush bouquet, the smaller plate has an elegant symmetrical floral composition, and the bonbonnière is richly adorned with graceful flower and leaf ornaments. Together they form a harmonious whole and are a handsome example of Dutch ceramics from the second half of the 20th century.
