About this Lens:
The Minolta MC Rokkor-PF 55mm f/1.7 was announced in August 1966 as a fast standard prime for Minolta's SR-mount SLR system. The "MC" designation indicates Meter Coupled — Minolta's full-aperture TTL metering coupling, introduced for use with bodies such as the SRT-101 and later models. The "PF" code follows Minolta's traditional optical designation system: P (Penta) = 5 groups and F = 6 elements, identifying its classic double-Gauss configuration of 6 elements in 5 groups.
Praised for its smooth bokeh, characterful rendering wide open, and the famously consistent "Minolta color" across the Rokkor lineup, this compact standard lens has remained a favorite among film shooters and a popular choice for use on modern mirrorless cameras (Sony E, Fujifilm X, Micro Four Thirds, Canon RF, Nikon Z, etc.) via inexpensive SR-to-mirrorless adapters. It is fully compatible with all Minolta SR-mount manual-focus bodies (SRT series, X-series, XD, XG, etc.).
Condition: USED — Good
Pre-owned, with distinct signs of use and minor optical flaws. The rear element has slight haze, but it does not affect the resulting images. Overall a clean, fully functional copy ready for shooting.
