Sony - TCS-350 Walkman

The Sony TCS-350 Walkman is a vintage stereo cassette player/recorder, an iconic electronic device of the 1980s, which allowed listening to and recording audio on cassettes wherever you were.

It comes with all original Sony accessories.

The device is in excellent condition, fully functional and always protected. It has some scratches and signs of wear consistent with its age. The device itself is intact, with no damage, breaks or malfunctions. We have tested it and it works perfectly. The black leather case is complete, functional and compact, and the buttons close properly. However, it shows some signs of wear and is not aesthetically very pleasing. Please examine the photos carefully. For the rest, the inner lining is intact and fully functional. My grandfather had applied stickers to the outside of the protective case with his name, his occupation (journalist) and other personal information. All components have been removed from the case and the marks are clearly visible, even in the photos above.

The Walkman is sold with its original Sony accessories, which includes, in addition to the Walkman:

• 2 Sony rechargeable batteries

• 1 Sony 6V AC-64NEM charger (400 mA)

• Sony cables for external connections

• 2 Sony earphones of different makes with two spare soft ear cushions (orange). Additionally, I include:
• a pair of new ear cushion covers (orange color)

• 2 audio cassettes, one new and one vintage, both never used and ready to use (90 minutes each).

• 1 cassette cleaning kit.

First of all, the buyer must clean the stereo with the cassettes (maximum 10 uses) and thoroughly clean the unit and its internal components, in particular the mechanism, using the provided head-cleaning kit (never used to my knowledge). The magnetic heads of a cassette player/recorder, like your Sony Walkman, can accumulate dirt and rust over time, which can compromise sound quality. This type of cassette contains a special ribbon that, when spun, cleans and improves sound and recording quality. I have never used this kind of Walkman, but I am sure that cleaning and using this cassette and the related system will not be difficult or time-consuming.

I prefer local pickup, not shipping, because, for professional reasons, I am almost always traveling, often abroad, which makes it difficult to meet shipping deadlines and conditions fairly set by Catawiki; therefore, I would like to specify that pickup costs, as well as any other applicable charges, will be fully borne by the buyer. Within the EU: €25/€30, outside the EU but still in Europe: €45/€55, for international shipping: €85/€125. The price for any shipments will be agreed and confirmed between seller and buyer, once the sale amount is confirmed and before the shipment itself.
