Sebastiao Salgado's IN CAMMINO, 1st edition hardback, Italian language, published by Contrasto and Leonardo Arte, a photography book of 431 pages with dimensions 34 by 26 cm in as-new condition.
Description from the seller
Very important work by the great photographer Sebastião Salgado, which treats with professional humanity the migration of peoples forced by war and by dramatic environmental conditions. The photos are, in fact, the result of a reportage in forty countries around the world, carried out between 1993 and 1999. The images, all clearly in black and white, are focused on the determination of men who, with dignity, express in every way their instinct to survive. This precious book contains as many as 435 photographs. At the end of the book there is a folder (as shown in the photo), a true “Exhibition Guide,” which describes with interesting observations the social issues and the context in which the photographs were taken. Moreover the guide contains the captions for each image (see attached photos). The book I am putting up for auction is new and is written in Italian. The preface is by Salgado himself.
