Fossilised shell - Cténostreon - 12 cm - 11 cm

Ctenostreon, an Early Jurassic bivalve, Aalenian from France, 185 million years old. This bivalve has preserved both valves and they are connected. On each valve, you can see a few spines that are rarely preserved. Its color is natural and has undergone no restoration. It measures 12 cm by 11 cm and weighs 600 g.
