Vintage brass Egyptian Revival table lamp in Hollywood Regency style, with a stylised pharaonic figural base on a dark rectangular plinth, curved arm and four-sided shade, measuring 60 cm high, 35 cm wide and 25 cm deep, weighing 800 g, made in Belgium and dating to 1950–1960, in good used condition and in working order with minor wear and a shade imperfection.
Description from the seller
A decorative table lamp in the Egyptian Revival taste, featuring a brass figural base modeled as a stylized pharaonic figure. The figure is depicted striding forward, holding a spear, and rendered with simplified, elongated proportions characteristic of early-to-mid 20th century interpretations inspired by ancient Egyptian art. The figure is mounted on a rectangular plinth base with a dark finish, supporting a curved metal arm rising to the light fitting.
The lamp retains a four-sided, gently flared shade with a dark exterior and lighter interior lining, designed to provide a warm, diffused illumination. The overall design reflects the enduring influence of Egyptian motifs in decorative arts following early 20th century archaeological discoveries.
Overall in good decorative condition, with wear consistent with age and use. The figuring shows minor surface wear and patination. The shade presents a visible bubble/imperfection to one side, as illustrated. Electrical components present;
