Antique Chinese brush pot in polychrome glazed terracotta. China, late 19th century, probably associated with the Qing Dynasty. On the front of the vase is a sculptural scene with a tall tree rising between rocks; on one side a person in a traditional robe holding a fan is depicted sitting in the shade of the tree, and on the other side a large dog with its mouth open and a huge amphora on its head. The vase shows a small chip on the left foot of the figure. Dimensions: 25.5 cm high × 20 × 15 cm.
