Ancient Chinese brush pot in polychrome glazed terracotta. Late 19th century China, probably associated with the Qing Dynasty. The vase, on the front, bears a sculptural scene with a large tree rising between rocks; on one side is depicted a person in a traditional robe holding a fan, seated in the shade of the tree, and on the other a large dog with its mouth open and a huge amphora on its head. The vase, in very good condition, has a small chip on the left foot of the person and some color loss due to aging. Measurements: 25.5 cm high × 20 × 15.

Il vaso, sulla parte anteriore, riporta una forma scultorea con un grande albero che si staglia tra le rocce; da una parte è raffigurata una persona con una tunica tradizionale e un ventaglio in mano seduto all’ombra dell’albero e dall’altra un grande cane con la bocca aperta con una enorme anfora sulla testa.
Il vaso, in condizioni molto buone, riporta una piccola sbeccatura sul piede sinistro della persona e alcune cadute di colore dovute all'usura del tempo.
