Description from the seller

Chinese porcelain teapot with a handwoven wicker container.
The basket features two brass handles on the top and a front latch, also in brass, with classic Asian decorative details.
The inner padding protects a porcelain teapot with its corresponding lid/cup.
The teapot, with a cylindrical body and spout, is decorated in the "Famille Rose" style, with fine floral motifs in pink and yellow tones and pretty birds of paradise. It features a double handle inset into the upper side brackets, made with two metal wires wrapped in braided fabric.
The object, probably dated to the late 19th century (Qing Dynasty period), is in very good condition, with slight signs of wear due to time.
Material: Porcelain with hand-painted enamel decoration.
Origin: China, Qing Dynasty

Basket dimensions: cm 24 x 17.5 x 15 (h)
Teapot dimensions: cm 12.5 (diam) x 12.5 (h)
