Storage trunk - Wood, Leather, Brass

An antique small chest that was used to store items used to preserve precious objects, documents, made of wood covered in leather and adorned with rich embossed brass fittings in floral motifs and red stones.
The lid, at the back, bears the rare commemorative inscription "Zur Dankbarkeit" (In gratitude) and on the base there is a stamp with a royal crown.
The opening features the period-appropriate oval lock, complete with its original and contemporaneous key, inside is lined with blue floral fabric.
The chest, as you can see from the numerous photos, is in excellent condition.
