An elegant and refined antique sugar caster (muffineer) dating from the 19th century, executed in the graceful Biedermeier style. This charming table accessory combines a finely shaped crystal body with a beautifully crafted Dutch silver mount and pierced lid.
The crystal body is delicately ribbed, creating a subtle play of light and enhancing the refined silhouette. The silver top, including the collar and domed pierced lid, is made of 833/1000 silver and bears the Dutch sword hallmark for small silver, confirming its authenticity and origin.
The pierced dome allows for the fine sprinkling of powdered sugar, making this piece ideal for use as a sugar caster. It can also be used for spices, cocoa, cinnamon, or decorative table presentation.
