Photo Info-Senegal - Libreria KRU (Grebo)

This is a lot of 10 photographs dating to 1966, taken during a traditional festival of the Kru people (or Grebo), in which some beautiful and young girls of the Bassa tribe were photographed before the festival itself. The 10 photographs depict pre-festival moments, with the girls preparing to "paint" their bodies, in keeping with the festival’s customs, with temporary paint and not tattoos. They are not photos taken by private onlookers, but official photographs taken by the Photo Info-Senegal agency. Size about 10x13 cm, in generally good condition.
