Antique travel trunk in wood and metal – Late 19th / early 20th century
Description: An authentic vintage travel trunk, made of wood with metal and leather reinforcement, datable to the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It is a functional and decorative piece, representative of the era when chests were used for personal transport on long journeys.
The exterior features a robust structure with corner protectors and metal reinforcements, as well as decorative details created with tacks forming geometric motifs and letters on the lid. It retains traces of its original finish with an attractive aged patina in brown and greenish tones, a result of the passage of time.
The interior preserves its original textile lining with a decorative print, adding historic value and authenticity to the piece. It has a frontal lock (no key) and side handles. On one side, remnants of an old shipping label can be seen, testimony to its original use.
