Ancient travel trunk with initials – Late 19th century / early 20th century
Magnificent original travel trunk, dated roughly between the late 19th century and the early 20th century, with authentic charm and a strong decorative presence.
Made of solid wood with metal reinforcements, it features an elegant domed lid typical of travel trunks of the era, designed for greater durability and practicality during long journeys.
On the top stand out the initials “M.O.Z.”, created with metal studs, probably corresponding to its former owner, which adds a unique historical character to the piece.
The interior preserves its original textile lining, with a beautiful decorative pattern, uncommon in pieces of this age. It also retains its original lock (no key), as well as the hinges and structure, intact.
Signs of use and the passage of time are evident (see photos), which is consistent with its age and adds an attractive patina.
