Dehua Kiln White Porcelain Seated Guanyin Statue

Description:

A Dehua kiln white porcelain seated Guanyin holding a sutra, approximately 13 cm tall. The body and glaze are lustrous, exhibiting a typical ivory-white texture with a gentle, jade-like sheen.

This piece dates back to the 19th-20th century and was made by Chinese hands. The unglazed base tells us about its age and production date.

Condition:

In good condition. Damage to her hand holding a ruyi (a type of scepter), the fingers of her left hand, and her hair knot adds to its antiquity but does not diminish its historical or artistic value. No cracks, no signs of repair, and has been examined with strong UV light. (Please see photos if the text is not clear enough.)
