​Up for auction: an elegant and characterful chest of drawers (commode) in the refined Venetian Rococo style (Louis XV). This piece is a stunning example of European craftsmanship from the mid-20th century.
​Features and aesthetics:
​The commode is finished in a warm cream/ivory tone, fully treated with an authentic craquelé effect, giving the piece a well-worn, antique look. The piece is richly adorned with hand-painted polychrome floral reliefs in soft pastel colors (pink, green and blue).
​A particularly special and surprising detail is the inside of the drawers: they are finished in a beautiful, vibrant azure blue (baby blue), creating a luxurious contrast with the light exterior.
