The Teke Tsaye of the Democratic Republic of Congo are known for their geometric masks linked to initiation societies and rites of mediation with spirits. The Kidumu mask, recognizable by its circular shape and natural pigments, was used during community ceremonies, ritual dances, and celebrations of spiritual power. It symbolized the balance between the visible and invisible worlds, ensuring protection, social cohesion, and the transmission of ancestral traditions.
