Couillard desk chair - late 19th century
Desk chair called Couillard resting on four curved legs connected by a shaped stretcher and carved with a floral motif. The beech wood structure features clean, elegant lines with a slightly enveloping backrest. The seat is made of traditional cane weaving and has borne the marks of time (the cane is not torn; it is simply sunken, visible in a photo).
An olive-green upholstery hides the indentation.
