Turkmen nomadic rug model, 360 cm by 217 cm, wool on cotton, origin Pakistan, in very good condition, dating to the 21st century and professionally cleaned, with about 60,000 knots per square metre.
Description from the seller
Nomad rugs produced in the Fars region (Iran) and marketed in Shiraz. They are knotted with 100% wool and have about 60,000 knots per square meter.
Whether medallion- or spike-patterned, they retain a geometry that makes them very different from the rest of the region. For their construction, the Persian knot is used on a cotton warp and double weft, with locally sourced wool from the area.
