Description from the seller
I am offering here a rare and beautiful original Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) solid oak furniture piece – a two-part cabinet with a vitrine top, lift-top/trunk area, and elaborate woodcarvings, created around 1900.
About the furniture:
Solid oak, fully original and fully functional.
Two-part, thus ideal for transport.
Beautiful carvings with apple motifs on the fronts, as well as original metal fittings and locks.
About the leaded glass windows:
The two leaded glass panes with the characteristic blue flowers and flowing lines are original from the Jugendstil period.
They originally came from another piece of furniture and were professionally fitted – original Jugendstil stained glass windows are now a rarity.
Some flower petals were renewed about 40 years ago by a professional glass restorer, craftsmanlike and hard to distinguish from the original.
Condition:
Good – typical, age-appropriate signs of wear for a piece of furniture over 120 years old, entirely intact and ready to use.
Important notes:
Private sale – no warranty, no returns.
Pickup only, or shipping by freight carrier by arrangement.
Transportable in two parts.
Location: 76337 Waldbronn
