Ancient stoneware vessel for Khmer Empire offerings during its peak splendor (11th–13th centuries). Due to its morphology and size, this type of container was used at the Angkor court and in daily life to hold ointments, medicinal oils, or precious essences. The piece is notable for its flattened globular shape and chocolate-brown glaze.
At the base you can see the hand-cut thread and the ferruginous clay characteristic of Southeast Asia.
