Description from the seller
This is a fascinating portrait of American actress Marion Shilling, executed by the great American photographer Otto Dyar, probably in 1930, when the film "Shadow of the Law" with William Powell was shot.
Otto Dyar (1892-1988) was one of the greatest American photographers of the "golden age", an excellent portraitist, he was the preferred photographer of many famous actresses, among whom we recall Carole Lombard, Anna May Wong, Gloria Swanson and several others...
This image of the beautiful Marion Shilling, then in her twenties, is typical of those years, an indoor photograph, in a classic pose of the era, that brings out the actress's beauty dressed "in fashion", elegant and smiling.
The photograph measures 20.3x25.7 cm, and is duly signed on the back with an interesting description of the film typed as well.
Excellent overall condition.
