Bitossi - Figurine - Gatto "Rimini Blu" - Majolica

Splendid stylized cat in artistic ceramic belonging to the historic Rimini Blu series, designed by Aldo Londi for Bitossi in the Sixties. This specimen is an original production of the Flavia manufactory in Montelupo Fiorentino, as clearly attested by the mark engraved on the base and by the presence of the rare period paper label with the model number 119.
The item presents in generally excellent condition, with the structure perfectly intact and the glossy turquoise glaze that enhances the typical hand-impressed geometric decorations. The surface shows the characteristic crazing effect of the original crystal glaze, a sign of authenticity and vintage prestige. There is only a slight and natural wear of the glaze localized on the eyes of a single profile, a detail that does not compromise the overall aesthetics of the piece and allows for visually perfect display.
It is a collectible piece ideal for lovers of mid-century modern and of Italian designer design.
