Richard Rohac - Ashtray - Bronze - Bronze ashtray

Authentic bronze ashtray by Richard Rohac (1906–1965), Vienna, 1950s. Classic round shape with four cigarette rests and the distinctive ribbing. Outer surface in black-patinated bronze, inner surface polished to a gold-brilliant finish. Marked on the underside with the typical square "RR" punch.

Richard Rohac was a former employee of the renowned Hagenauer workshop and founded his own workshop in Vienna's 6th district in the late 1950s. His bronze wares were exclusively distributed through the company Gebrüder Gödde Wien. Note: The "RR" mark stands solely for Richard Rohac, not—as is commonly but incorrectly assumed—for Rena Rosenthal.
