Description from the seller

Splendid service of dishes in fine Meissen porcelain, decorated with the famous “Blue Onion” / “Zwiebelmuster” motif, one of the most iconic decorations of the German manufacturer.

The refined cobalt blue underglaze decoration, inspired by ancient oriental porcelains and introduced by Meissen in the 18th century, features elegant floral and botanical motifs hand-painted with a gracefully scalloped edge. The original model was developed around 1739 by Johann Gregor Höroldt and is still today one of the most representative decorations of the Meissen House.

The service consists of 14 pieces in total and is ideal for both elegant everyday use and for collecting.

Good overall condition.
One soup plate has a chip and another a visible crack. Slight signs of age and use compatible with the age.
