Birgit Brenner signed and numbered Collectors Edition of Kunstwerkstatt, a first edition in this format in a portfolio binding, with 80 pages in German.
Description from the seller
Welcome to certainly one of this year's highlights at Catawiki, with regard to "signed art books"; originating, on the one hand, from the estate of Karl Geyer! A art collector from Jülich, who over nearly 75 years gathered about 100,000 drawings, autographs, art books and objects, and who also befriended many artists such as Gerhard Richter, Otto Piene, Janosch, Günther Uecker and many others! On the other hand from my private collection, which I have been able to accumulate over many years.
In this auction, 100 hand-signed and in some cases even painted art and photo books by international artists will be offered, such as from
- Gerhard Richter
- David Hockney
- Ellsworth Kelly
- Georg Baselitz
- Cornelia Schleime
- Wolfgang Tillmans
- Martin Eder
- Andreas Gursky
- Bridget Riley
- Wolfgang Mattheuer
- Bernhard Heisig
- Thomas Ruff
- Bernard Aubertin
- Anselm Kiefer
- Gunther Sachs
- Richard Long
and many more, with a starting minimum bid of Euro 100.00.
Do not miss this extraordinary opportunity to acquire signed books by artists, some of whom are already deceased and hold legendary status!
Here we offer:
BIRGIT BRENNER
(A German, highly priced and versatile artist, professor at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart; represented by Galerie Eigen + Art, which also represents Neo Rauch and David Schnell)
In 2008 the Prestel Verlag published the "Collectors Edition" premium edition
